Specifications include, but are not limited to: Complete removal of the existing irrigation system including all components including the communication wiring that services sections 13 & 14 at the Amelia Virginia Veterans Cemetery. All debris must be hauled away and disposed of properly. Then a completely new system will be installed for sections 12, 13 & 14. The system shall consist of main lines which must be at least 18 inches below ground level (below the frost line) and lateral lines that stem from the main lines and supply water to the irrigations heads. The irrigation system shall include features to allow for winterization in an efficient and effective manner. This is meant to be a general description and all work shall comply with all applicable industry standards and local/state codes. All turf shall be covered by the irrigation system. Refer to Attachment A – Irrigation map for sections 12, 13 & 14. Refer to Attachment B – Site map of sections 13 & 14. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, supervision, and equipment in accordance with all OSHA, Federal, State and local regulations. Mandatory Requirement: A “turnkey system” meaning. the contractor must make sure that the system is fully operational after all work is completed. Mandatory Requirement: All bids must include a 12-month warranty on all parts and labor from the date the system is demonstrated as fully functional. Minimally the new system must have the following features/components: 1. Be connected to the existing well. Check the pump GPM and evaluate if it is adequate to service sections 12, 13 & 14. * 2. Main lines, lateral lines, valve boxes, communication wires and decoders. 3. All other necessary components for a complete and functional system which may include flow sensors, master valves, MP rotators, I-20 rotors, I-25 rotors, MP body, riders, heads, spray body, nozzles, swing joints & ball valves. 4. New Hunter ACC2 System Controller “ONLY” to match the other existing sections. 5. Approximately 25 valve boxes per section. Each box handles a zone and only 2 sprinkler heads are active at a time in each zone. 6. Each section 12, 13 & 14 will run one at a time until all zones have been watered. 7. Run time can be controlled by the operator. 8. Features that allow for effective and efficient winterization of the system. 9. Demonstration of the fully functional system after installation. 10. A detailed layout of sections 12, 13 & 14 is required for review. It is assumed that sections 13 & 14 will have a similar layout as existing since the ground has to be disturbed to remove the old system. Any changes to the layout must be shown. 11. A detailed quote showing components that will comprise the system with each section 12, 13 & 14 being separately listed. It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure that all required parts and components are included. Any additional parts required to complete the system that were left off the original quote shall be borne by the contractor/bidder.
