The Contractor must provide integrated psychiatric services via telemedicine for Arlington County Department of Human Services (DHS) clients under the direction of the Behavioral Health Division (BHD). The Contractor must make the following services available in accordance with the service availability schedule requested by the County and support staff who are assisting clients at County offices and in the community, (“Covered Locations”), as set forth below: 1. Maintain a standard of care via telemedicine that is equivalent to that for any other type of care that can be delivered to an individual experiencing a mental health crisis, considering the specific context, location and timing, and relative availability of in-person care. 2. Maintain professional discipline and follow clinical practice guidelines set forth by the American Psychiatric Association and the American Psychiatric Association/American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the delivery of care in the telemedicine setting, modifying as needed to accommodate specific circumstances. 3. Provide medication management in compliance with American Psychiatric Association and American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry practice parameters. 4. Provide telemedicine consultation in psychiatric emergencies in accordance with established protocols and procedures as set forth in this Scope of Services, American Psychiatric Association and the American Psychiatric Association/American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry guidelines 5. Provide and maintain communications infrastructure for consistent and effective operations of telemedicine practice by utilizing the County-provided platforms (Teams and Secure Telehealth for Zoom). 6. Ensure clients privacy, comfort, and communication during telemedicine sessions. 7. Conduct ongoing client assessments. Examples include initial evaluations for new clients, crisis assessments, medication evaluations, and follow-up for clients who missed their appointments with regular providers. Crisis intervention units will also conduct assessments for clients in crisis for the purpose of transfer of services. 8. Provide clinical consultation with County staff via Microsoft Teams or Zoom, access to which will be provided by the County. 9. Document services provided in the County’s EHR within 24 hours of service. 10. Ensure that the Contractor’s providers meet all standards for licensure to practice psychiatry, credentialing, and training according to applicable local, state, and national requirements.
