Conduct a water test for sediment for the referenced site Provide a backwashing sediment filtration treatment unit as stated below to eliminate sediment from the existing water supply related to a new well recently installed. Install an ANSI/NSF certified (or equivalent) backwashing sediment filtration system, with tank, controls and other necessary components onto the existing water well system. Assure that the sizing and flow rate will meet the required GPM/GPD requirement for potable water based upon the Virginia Private Well Regulations. System should require minimal or no annual maintenance and no or infrequent media changes. Backwashing systems should be installed after the pressure tank unless justification for a different configuration is provided. Install in a location that is protected from freezing and outdoor elements / provide adequate frost and moisture protection of the unit.
