1.1 These specifications shall include one lineup of outdoor, protected aisle, 15 kV MetalClad Switchgear, the protective relaying, circuit breakers, and all appurtenances for one incoming and two outgoing circuits. Entrance will be by aerial cable and exit will be by underground cable. 1.2 The switchgear manufacturer shall serve as the single point of responsibility for field service as well as warranty for all component systems installed within the assembly. This manufacturer shall provide all interconnecting wiring between component systems mounted within the assembly and shall furnish functional testing of these systems such as Metal-Clad Switchgear, data acquisition, protective relaying, etc. Provisions shall be made for the owner or consultant to witness these tests. Any additional costs incurred for this service shall be included as a separate item in the proposal. 1.3 The scope of the work included in this specification shall include furnishing the following material and service complete. Equipment to be furnished is shown on attached one-line drawings, data sheets and arrangement drawings, which form part of this specification. 1.4 All work shall be done and completed in a thorough workmanlike manner and in accordance with the best modern practices in manufacturing and fabrication. All materials used in the construction of the apparatus shall be selected as the best available for the purpose for which used, considering strength, ductility, insulation and best engineering practice. Liberal factors of safety shall be used throughout the design.
