Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Implement strategies and trainings for youth that promote youth voice, positive youth development, youth engagement, and youth-adult partnerships 2. Prepare youth to serve on panels and committees for foster care policy development, conducting life skills and self-advocacy training, and increasing youth’s understanding and embracement of the concept of Youth Welfare approach and achieving permanency 3. Identify foster youth that can, and are willing to, speak to other youth and stakeholders at conferences, trainings, and other events on topics such as permanency, positive adult connections, financial self-sufficiency, experience with homelessness, educational attainment, high-risk behavior, and access to health insurance 4. Plan and implement training opportunities for youth in foster care, and those aging out to develop or enhance their life, leadership, and advocacy skills.
