Specifications include, but are not limited to: The intent and purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to establish a term contract with one or more qualified sources to provide rock salt and ice melt products for Virginia Commonwealth University (the lead issuing institution and hereafter referred to as the University or VCU), an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia. VCU would prefer one Contractor but will consider offerors who can provide only some of the items specified. The initial contract term will be one (1) year effective on date of the award with four (4) successive one (1) year renewal options. 1. Solids a) Sodium Chloride (Diamond Crystal Winter Melt) per ton. b) Calcium Chloride (Tetra 94 Calcium Chloride Pellets) in 50 lb. bag. c) Magnesium Chloride (Mag Magnesium Chloride Pellets) in 50 lb. bag . d) Calcium Magnesium Acetate (CMA100) in 50 lb. bag. e) Sodium Chloride-Calcium Chloride Blend (Morton Professional Grade Ice Melt) in 50 lb. bag. f) Sodium Chloride-Magnesium Chloride Blend (Diamond Crystal Glacier Melt and Meltdown 20 NaCl pre-wetted with MgCl) in 50 lb. bag.
