B. SCOPE OF WORK: 1. Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, services, supplies, fuel, oil, incidentals, permits, notifications and related items necessary to complete the services. 2. All tools and equipment must be in proper and safe working order. 3. Contractor shall have an on-site supervisor at the site any time work is performed. 4. Contractor shall perform on a schedule defined by the City to the specifications defined herein. 5. Contractor shall perform all services in a professional workmanlike manner. 6. The Contractor shall perform again the work that is not approved by the City within three (3) days from the notification from the City without additional cost to the City. 7. All work shall be in accordance with federal, state, and City laws and regulations. 8. Weed and Grass Trimming: a. The Contractor shall mechanically cut all grass, weeds and saplings to within 2.5” to 4” of the ground on the right of way, easement or property. No warranty is given that certain equipment or techniques can be used to perform this task. b. The Contractor shall not use any grass, weed or brush killer in the performance of the resulting contract unless specifically approved by the City in writing prior to use. c. The Contractor shall conduct operations so as not to cause ruts in any maintained areas. The Contractor shall restore any area rutted by its operations. If the Contractor fails to correct in ten (10) days, the City may correct by other means and charge the cost to the Contractor. d. Upon completion of the work, a mowed area shall be free of clumped grass and tire tracks or ruts from the mowing equipment. e. No grass or litter may be blown onto paved surfaces. If blowers are needed, all cuttings shall be blown on to the mowed area. Grass and weed cutting debris may be left in the mowed area so as not to cause any piles more than four inches (4”) high. Each area will be inspected by the City each time the work is performed.
