Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide all supervision, labor, equipment, fuel, maintenance/repair of contractor's equipment, tools, and incidentals necessary to provide equipment and qualified driver/operators to deliver towing and recovery services as described herein. Work will consist of continuous patrols and/or single service calls during inclement weather, snow and ice removal operations, brining operations, special events, and/or emergency projects, etc. as determined by VDOT on I95 in Fredericksburg District. VDOT reserves the right to request towing/recovery services on adjoining Primary routes and at VDOT Facilities as needed. Contractor shall tow vehicles and relocate them to a pre-assigned holding area in a safe and professional manner, not to cause any further damage to the towed vehicle. Contractor shall position the vehicle to allow ease of retrieval. Contractor shall tow vehicles and return to patrolling, if required, as quickly and safely as possible to ensure the Interstate remains open and clear until released from duty by the VDOT Contract Administrator.
