Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. All work shall be performed following the direction given by the VDOT Contract Administrator, or designee. 2. All work performed shall be in conformance with the current Virginia Work Area Protection Manual (VWAPM) and any revisions issued during the term of this contract. 3. The Contractor’s equipment and personnel shall meet all Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), Virginia Occupational Safety & Health (VOSH), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and Virginia State Inspection and Licensing regulations, laws and standards. 4. The Contractor shall certify to the Contract Administrator or designee that he/she has the required equipment available in current inventory. If the Contractor intends to purchase, lease or subcontract the offered equipment, he/she shall provide proof of purchase, lease or subcontract of the offered equipment prior to notification of Intent to Award. The Contractor must own or directly lease in their name a minimum of 50% of all required equipment. Any Sub Contractors trucks and or equipment must be directly owned by sub-contractor or leased directly to the sub-contractor. VDOT reserves the right to request supporting documentation at any time. Equipment verification prior to Notice of Intent to Award. 5. Prior to notification of Intent to Award, each piece of offered equipment will be subject to an evaluation by VDOT Contract Administrator or designee. The evaluation is to ensure that the equipment meets all Federal DOT and Virginia State Inspection standards as applicable. Location and time of the evaluation and any needed re-evaluation will be determined and performed at the discretion of VDOT. VDOT reserves the right to reject any offered equipment. Contractor shall make every effort to ensure all equipment can be evaluated at one scheduled evaluation appointment.
