Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The Contractor will be responsible for working on incidental and unplanned highway construction, ordinary maintenance, and maintenance replacement projects. The Contractor shall provide equipment with experienced operators, fuel, transportation (mobilization), tools, supplies, and incidentals as necessary to maintain safe and efficient operations in various locations in Hanover, Goochland, Henrico, New Kent, Charles Counties on Primary and Secondary routes. The Contractor shall have enough equipment with associated operators to have the ability to accomplish multiple operations in multiple locations simultaneously. The Contractor shall provide traffic control measures for each work location as directed by VDOT. VDOT reserves the right to perform any type of work within the limits of this operation. The Contractor shall cooperate with VDOT and other Contractors as necessary. 2. Work may be performed at any time of the year, even during the winter season, weather permitting at the discretion of VDOT. There may be lapses in time between project assignments. The daily hours of use may vary on each piece of equipment. 3. The Contractor shall possess a Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) Contractor’s License Class “A”.
