It is the intent of this Invitation for Bids to obtain pricing from qualified licensed contractors for a roof overbuild project located at the Health Department building, 270 David Bruce Avenue, Charlotte Court House, Virginia in accordance with all the specifications, terms and conditions outlined in this IFB. It is Charlotte County's intent to award the project on the bid form to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The existing roof is a flat roof with roof drain running to the center of the building. The roof consists of open-web steel joists that span from left to right when looking at the building from David Bruce Avenue. The joist extend beyond the wall approximately 18”. The walls are 8” concrete masonry units (CMU). There are capped curbs on the roof from previous equipment protruding up to approximately 1 ft above the roof line.
