Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide as-needed, trucks with operators for general hauling services to supplement VDOT crews in Fairfax County in the Northern Virginia District. Services will be on an as-needed basis. The Contractor(s) shall provide dump trucks with a qualified operator, supervision, fuel, tools, parts, supplies and all incidentals as necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the dump trucks to perform general hauling services as listed in this IFB. The work will consist of, but will not be limited to, hauling asphalt from local plants to state projects, hauling materials such as fill dirt, stone, soil from ditching operations, broken concrete, rip rap and trash and debris from state maintenance yards to landfills. In the event of significant snowfall during the winter season, contractors may be required to haul snow from certain roadways to designated disposal areas.
