Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Product information shall be submitted with quote for evaluation. Failure to provide Product Information may eliminate your bid from evaluation. *; 2. The contractor shall remove existing HVAC equipment from the premises and dispose of all components and debris according to all Commonwealth of Virginia Laws and Regulations. No material shall be disposed of on site. ; 3. The Contractor shall install and render operational four (4), 16 SEER or higher, outdoor compressor units and matching air handlers as identified by the tonnage on the site visit. ; • The Contractor shall install and render operational those identified in whole ton units, minimum 16 SEER, two-stage outdoor compressor units for those that will replace identified 2 ton or 3 ton units with matching multiple speed air handlers to meet or exceed the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) Standard 210/240.; • The Contractor shall install and render operational those units identified in half ton units, minimum 16 SEER with single stage outdoor compressor units for those that will replace identified 1.5, 2.5 or 3.5 ton units with matching air handlers to meet or exceed the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) Standard 210/240.; 4. The Contractor shall include new refrigerant lines (line sets), equipment pad (fiberglass), new snow legs if installed on the existing unit, condensate drip pan and piping outside the building foundation, adapters to old duct work, emergency/auxiliary heat strips appropriate for the area to be heated, and programmable thermostat. ; 5. Existing electrical connections/disconnects may be used if they meet manufacturer recommendations. If not, electrical components must be replaced.; 6. The Contractor is responsible for any carpentry needed to enlarge access openings, including trim and finishing to match existing woodwork.; 7. The Contractor install new/unused supply and return transitions. ; 8. The Contractor shall install new condensate pump on unit if one is currently installed.; 9. The Contractor shall provide and install emergency/auxiliary heat strips that are appropriate for the size of the unit and the space to be heated. ; 10. The Contractor shall provide and install UV Air Scrubbers for each unit that are appropriate for the size of the unit and in accordance with the HVAC manufacturer’s requirements.; 11. The Contractor shall remove the existing units from the premises and dispose of them in accordance with all local and national standards. All refrigerant shall be handled in an environmentally responsible manner in accordance with the Clean Air Act. ; 12. The Contractor shall perform a full-system start up and review of the installation with Park staff, including an overview of the operation and maintenance of the new system, as well as installed accessories. ; 13. The Contractor shall provide Owner’s manuals for each piece of equipment installed during this project. ; 14. The Contractor shall provide unit and workmanship warranty information with their bid submission. Unit must carry a minimum 5-year warranty on parts and 1-year warranty on labor. ; 15. The contractor shall provide the business name, contact name, phone number and address of an authorized service repair vendor that will honor all warranty work and repairs on the product they (the bidder) offer in the same day or minimum 24 hour response time (including weekends). Bidders may be requested to provide sub-contractors’ names in the event that your company is more than one hour from the installation location.
