Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, equipment, supplies and supervision to remove and dispose of the old unit, replace and render operational one, like in kind and type, 14 SEER, 2.5 ton HVAC unit to be installed at the Forestry Center’s office. All work associated with this project shall be completed within sixty (15) days from award. Work to be completed Monday-Friday beginning at 7:00AM and coordinated with Assistant Forestry Manager, Josh Mclaughlin.; The contractor shall install and render operational a new and unused minimum 14 SEER, 2.5 ton, Two Stage HVAC units to include new refrigerant lines (line sets), fiberglass equipment pad, snow legs (if already present), matching air handler, condensate drip pan and piping outside the building foundation, adapters to old duct work, emergency/auxiliary heat strips, and programmable thermostat.; The contractor shall provide and install a matching variable speed indoor air handler adequate to meet or exceed the Air Conditioning Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) Standard 210/240.; Existing electrical connection/disconnects may be used if they meet manufacturer recommendations. If not, electrical components must be replaced.; The Contractor is responsible for any carpentry needed to enlarge access openings, including trim and finishing to match existing woodwork.; The Contractor shall install new/unused supply and return transitions.; The contractor shall remove the existing unit from the premises and dispose of it in accordance with all local and national standards. All refrigerant shall be handled in an environmentally responsible manner in accordance with the Clean Air Act.; The Contractor shall perform a full-system start up and review of the installation with park staff, including an overview of the operation and maintenance of the new system, as well as installed accessories.; The Contractor shall provide Owner’s manuals for each piece of equipment installed during this project.; The contractor shall provide unit and workmanship warranty information with their bid submission. Unit must carry a minimum 5-year warranty on parts and 1-year warranty on labor.; The contractor shall provide the business name, contact name, phone number, and address of an authorized service repair vendor that will honor all warranty work and repairs on the product they (the bidder) offer in a same day or minimum 24 hour response time (including weekends). You may be requested to provide subcontractor’s names in the event that your company is more than an hour from the installation location.
