Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, supplies, and equipment as necessary, to provide the services listed in this contract. 2. Hampton Health District is seeking a qualified, professional security company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Virginia to provide one professional, uniformed security officer for on-site security for the location during normal business hours for the protection of State employees. Pricing is requested for both ARMED and UNARMED security services and award will be made on one service basis. 3. VENDOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL REQUIRED LICENSURE, PERMITS, TRAINING, CONTINUING EDUCATION, INCLUDING REGISTRATION WITH VA DCJS. 4. Provide Daily Security Services five (5) days per week, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 and 4:30 pm (Hampton Health District) Services will not be required on Commonwealth of Virginia State holidays which include: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Washington's Birthday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Voting Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and any other days deemed a state holiday or state emergencies by the Governor (see the Department of Human Resource Management at http://www.dhrm.virginia.gov/payandholidaycalendar). When a holiday(s), inclement weather, delayed openings, early closings, or other reasons, beyond the Agency’s control, that services cannot be rendered, the Contractor shall deduct a pro-rated amount from the monthly invoice, based on the cost per month, divided by the number of working days in that month, for each day, the service is not provided. 5. LEVEL OF SERVICE: The Contractor shall have experience with providing general onsite security for medical health facilities. The Contractor shall assign a permanent employee (Guard) to the facility; as well as train and provide a designated backup employee should the regularly assigned employee be unavailable for any reason.
