A. Ballasted Guard Rail Installation: Furnish and install approximately 180 linear feet of nonpenetrating high-tensile aluminum guard rails with weighted bases on the main roof. These OSHA compliant, non-penetrating, and free-standing guard rails feature plastic coated bases with protective mats to ensure no damage to the existing roof system. Ballasted guard rails are to be powder coated in black color. B. Parapet Mounted Guard Rail Installation: Furnish and install approximately 345 linear feet of interior-parapet wall mounted high-tensile aluminum guard rails to the small roofs at both opposing ends of the building. Where applicable, at roof access/ladders, these wall-mounted guard rails will attach to the outer support bars via U-bolts to not obstruct the existing access points. Wall-mounted guard rails are to be powder coated in black color. C. Hatch Safety Rail Installation: Furnish and install high-tensile aluminum safety rails to the outside of one existing roof hatch/egress. These OSHA compliant hatch safety rails will be installed in "safety yellow" color and feature a gate that can be locked for safety and/or security. D. Actual measurements are the responsibility of the Bidder.
