The Contractor shall provide mowing and trimming services which include clearing vegetation from spillways, riprap below and around the spillways, riprap on front of the dams, around the overflow outlet pipes and structures, and litter pickup prior to mowing. Cutting should continue all the way to white mow markers if present. Herbicide application can only be conducted by or under the supervision of a certified herbicide applicator and under herbicide label directions. Only herbicides approved for use around waterbodies shall be used and if the treatment was not effective the contractor may be required to retreat vegetation. Mowing should only occur when dam soil is dry; the contractor is responsible for repairing any trenching, soil/structural damage, and any other damage created by machines.
