The project consists of a full renovation of the existing 28,000-square-foot masonry library building. The scope includes a new standing seam metal roof, new low-slope single-ply membrane roof systems, removal and replacement of all exterior windows and doors, and improvements to the exterior envelope (insulation and air barrier) to meet current building codes. Both lateral bracing and roof reinforcement are included to meet current code. MEPFP upgrades are provided throughout to meet targets for Net Zero Energy, LEED Gold, and 50% below ASHRAE Guideline. The existing MEP systems are replaced completely, with new mechanical equipment, plumbing fixtures, and electrical. A roof-mounted photovoltaic (PV) array and its infrastructure is also included and to be installed. The interior renovation includes full reconfiguration with new finishes throughout the building – including floors, walls, and ceilings. Site / Landscape scope includes site signage, site lighting, repaving and restriping parking where the layout is affected by the new EV charging stations. The infrastructure for the EV charging stations is included in the project scope, with the EV charging stations provided by others.
