Specifications include, but are not limited to: Initial Assessment and Planning: • Conduct an on-site assessment of the existing gate systems to determine the scope of work required for replacement and installation. • Develop a comprehensive plan for the removal of existing gate operators, drive rails, and associated components, as well as the installation of new equipment. Procurement of Equipment Source and procure the necessary equipment and components to fulfill the project requirements, including: • 110v gate operators • New Drive rails. • Obstruction devices, high/low infrared photo beams across gate openings Optec doppler vehicle detection devices. • New Safety edges for all gates • Replace junction boxes • Replacement of control wiring. • Replacement of inground loop wiring. • Annunciators Installation, Replacement and Disposal • Remove existing gate operators, drive rails, and associated components in accordance with safety protocols. • Install approved replacement gate operators, drive rails, and accessories, ensuring compliance with UL 325 safety requirements. • Wire five gate operators for emergency power as specified. • Perform all necessary electrical groundwork for the installation of new equipment. • Concrete work (If needed) • Dispose of all equipment. Drive rails, controllers. Integration with Access Control System • Ensure compatibility of the new equipment with the current airport access control system. • Coordinate with the Norfolk Airport Authority for the disconnection and reconnection of current access control systems as needed. • Test the integration to ensure seamless operation and functionality.
