A. SCOPE OF WORK: The Contractor shall provide an all-inclusive monthly rate for rental services to furnish, deliver, and set in place floor mats on a bi-weekly basis as described herein. B. SPECIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS: All walk-off floor mats shall conform to all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, and OSHA Standards. C. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: The Contractor shall deliver and set in place clean walk-off floor mats, and pick up and remove soiled walk-off floor mats in the designated areas at the specified locations for an all-inclusive monthly rate. The Contractor shall coordinate the initial delivery of mats with the VDOT Prince William Business Support Group to ensure that there is no disruption of service from the previous Contractor. Upon initial delivery of mats, the Contractor shall provide delivery and pick-up on an every other week (bi-weekly) basis. The day and time of delivery shall be mutually agreed upon between the VDOT Contract Administrator and the Contractor. 1. DELIVERY AND SET UP: Floor mats shall be delivered and picked up at each location every other week (bi-weekly) during the hours of 7:00AM to 2:00PM on a day that is mutually agreeable to both the VDOT Contract Administrator and the Contractor. Mats shall be rotated/exchanged one for one and shall be delivered to designated buildings as described in paragraph D. The soiled mats shall be rolled up and removed to ensure that the area around the mats does not collect dirt and debris, and the clean replacement mat shall be rolled out in its place. At no time shall new mats be left un-rolled. 2. CHECK IN: The Contractor shall check in at the location being serviced and be dressed in a company uniform for identification purposes in ordered to be granted access to VDOT buildings. The Contractor shall provide delivery receipts identifying the quantities and sizes of mats. The delivery receipts will be signed by a VDOT Representative at each location. 3. STANDARDS OF ALL MATERIALS SUPPLIED: All mats shall have beveled edge and no slip rubberized backing which is non-marking and non-staining. All mats provided to each location shall be in good to excellent condition for each delivery – torn, frayed, cracked, stained, or excessively worn or dirty mats shall not be accepted. VDOT shall not be charged if the mat is left or returned for failure to meet minimum requirements during the specific services period as defined by the VDOT Contract Administrator or the designee. 4. CARPET MATS: All carpet floor mats shall meet the following minimum requirements: • Rubber base gripper backing • Nylon Pile • Sanitized • Standard coloring without logos 5. SCRAPER MATS: All scraper mats shall meet the following minimum requirements: • High-quality heavy-duty rubber scraper mat • Slip resistant surface • Rubber based gripper backing
