Choreographed displays should be structured with a distinct opening, middle, and grand finale. Each proposal should include a time sequenced description of all fireworks to be included and any visuals and explanation that assist in describing the show. The display will be fired approximately 1,000 feet from the spectator area. (The show must clear the tree line). Shell size shall be from 3”-6,” however 3” shells are not to exceed more than 10% of the total shell count. The successful contractor shall provide: A. A broadcast-quality digitally edited soundtrack (and back up). B. Length of time. The Fireworks display shall be as follows with constant display: 18 minutes minimum-22 minutes maximum C. Music. The choreographed display on July 4th, 2025, will provide a blend of contemporary and patriotic music. All music must be reviewed and approved in advance by the Department of Parks and Recreation. D. Sound. Equipment needed for playing music and a professional sound system for the audience will be provided by the Town of Herndon. The vendor shall be responsible for providing a USB/flash drive or other professional means of transferring the music files to the sound technician. E. Fireworks Display Permits: The fireworks contractor shall be responsible for applying for and securing all fireworks display permits from the Fairfax County Fire Marshal’s Office in accordance with the most current NFPA Code 1123 Use of Pyrotechnics before a Proximate Audience and Fairfax County Regulations
