A. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, tools, and necessary supplies to conduct annual inspections, maintenance, testing, and repairs to VSP owned fire extinguishers in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standard 29 CFR 1910.157, the National Fire Protection Associations (NFPA) 10 Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers, and any local and state authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ). The work shall consist of annual maintenance inspections, six (6) year maintenance and recharge, 12-year hydrostatic testing, and repairs on an as needed basis approved by the VSP Contract Administrator, or designee. B. The contractor shall have and maintain all necessary licenses and/or permits required to perform work under this contract. C. The contractor shall contact the VSP Contract Administrator(s) to schedule inspection and maintenance services. All appointments shall be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance to ensure access to each location. D. The contractor shall provide fully trained personnel who are a certified fire extinguisher inspector and possessing at least three years' experience in maintenance, repair, and inspection of similar equipment found at each VSP location. Personnel shall be licensed to work in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The contractor shall furnish the technicians’ experience information and/or certifications upon request. VSP reserves the right to reject service personnel whom, in VSP’s sole discretion, are not adequately qualified to perform the work described herein. E. All inspections, testing, and recharging services shall be conducted on-site, if possible. The contractor shall not remove any fire extinguishers from the VSP location without prior authorization from the VSP Contract Administrator.
