SCOPE OF WORK: METAL FENCE TYPES The Contractors’ tasks, responsibilities, and requirements may include, but not be limited to: Installation, replacement, and repair of chain link and other metal fabric type fences and backstops. Installation, replacement, and repair of polymer or vinyl coated chain link and other metal fabric type fences and backstops. Installation, replacement, and repair of galvanized steel and aluminum type fences. Installation, replacement, and repair of metal ornamental fences. Installation, replacement, and repair of wrought iron fences. Installation, replacement, and repair of vehicle and pedestrian gates. Installation, replacement, and repair of retractable gates. Installation, replacement, and repair of fence support items, including, but not limited to, concrete footings, posts, boards, tension wire, and fasteners. Clearing fence lines and demolition of fence types included under this contract. Supply/furnish all materials necessary for the installation, replacement, and repair of the metal fencing types included under this contract. All products for new fencing systems should be from the same manufacturer when possible to ensure product compatibility and warranty. All products for spot repairs, or repairs to portions of fences should match the existing or surrounding product to ensure product compatibility and aesthetic uniformity. In all cases for chain link applications, steel ties shall be used to attach the fabric to the rails and uprights at least every two linear feet. Best Commercial Practices shall be used. No name plates shall be affixed to the fence. Contractor shall be responsible for providing their own on-site electric as well as supplying their own water. Contractor shall be responsible for calling Miss Utility to have underground utility lines marked. 3. Installation, replacement, and repair of wooden split-rail and ranch-rail fences. Installation, replacement, and repair of wooden guardrail. Installation, replacement, and repair of PVC or vinyl picket fences. Installation, replacement, and repair of PVC or vinyl post-and-rail fences. Installation, replacement, and repair of ornamental fences. Installation, replacement, and repair of vehicle and pedestrian gates.
