Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. VRE Maintenance and Storage Facilities (MSF) 1. A uniformed security guard shall be on duty seven (7) days per week, twenty-four (24) hours per day at the following locations: a. Broad Run MSF, located at 10637 Piper Lane, Bristow, VA 20136. b. Crossroads MSF, located at 9400 Crossroads Parkway, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. 2. No security guard shall exceed twelve (12) continuous hours of work for VRE, to include work performed by the guard for any other client of the Contractor. An eight (8) hour rest must be taken before a guard can resume work for VRE. This rule includes any work performed in an operational, supervisory, or administrative capacity at any location where the Contractor conducts business. 3. Security guards must be armed at all times while on duty at the Broad Run and Crossroads MSFs. 4. A perimeter check of the security fencing shall be performed by the security guard on duty at both the Broad Run and Crossroads MSFs at irregular intervals, with no fewer than once per hour. The perimeter check shall be conducted on foot. 5. The Contractor shall establish a system to ensure that security guards are conducting regular patrols around the perimeter of the Broad Run and Crossroads MSFs. The system shall not be easily bypassed (e.g., a push button system throughout a facility). The Contractor shall describe the system it will employ within its Proposal for review and evaluation by VRE.
