The City of Portsmouth is soliciting sealed bids from qualified Contractors to provide maintenance services for its fleet consisting of more than 1600 assets that Fleet Management maintains that are both gasoline and diesel engines. All maintenance and repairs will be scheduled and approved through Vehicle Services. Vehicle totals are for reference only as the total number of vehicles in the City’s fleet is subject to change without notice. The awarded Contractor(s) will need to provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, quality controls, and security to perform automotive body repair and mechanical services due to damage from accidents, routine repairs, preventative maintenance, scheduled repairs, and related services in a timely and quality conscious manner on both emergency and non-emergency fleet vehicles for the City, including but not limited to: Our current fleet comprises a diverse range of vehicles with varying engine and transmission options including: Vehicle 1 (V1): Automobiles, SUVs, vans, light trucks, lawn equipment, and small trailers (less than 1/2 ton) from manufacturers like Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge, and Toro. Vehicle 2 (V2): Mid-sized units (up to 1 ton), such as Ford F250/F350 and Chevrolet 2500/3500 Series. Vehicle 3 (V3): Heavy trucks (greater than 1 ton), including 2024 F450/F550 and Chevrolet 4500/5500 Series. Vehicle 4 (V4): Specialty units (fire, landfill, waste, buses, diesel-powered) with vehicles over 26,001 lbs.
