The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, equipment and chemicals necessary for pest and rodent control (exterminating) services for the PVCC. PVCC wishes to enter into a one (1) year initial contact. The contract shall be eligible to be renewed by the PVCC for four (4) one (1) year optional renewals, under the terms of the current contract, and at a reasonable time prior to expiration. The PVCC consists of a main one story building with a total of one hundred forty six thousand one hundred forty nine (146,149) square feet The Contractor shall inspect, identify and treat for the elimination of various pests, insects and vermin which include, but are not limited to, the following: spiders, bees, wasps, crickets, ants, roaches, earwigs, mice, rats, centipedes, millipedes and silverfish. Services shall be performed on a monthly basis. The Contractor shall be duly licensed by the State and Local Health Authorities, and shall strictly conform to all Federal, State and Local regulations and accepted practices in performance of the work, and use and application of chemicals. The Contractor shall use only trained, uniformed pesticide applicators. All pesticide applicators working at the PVCC must have current certification from the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services as an individual operator. Upon request, the Contractor shall produce evidence of such certification. The Contractor is required to insure that no banned products are used when performing services. The Contractor shall provide a quarterly drain treatment service for thirteen (13) inch floor drains in and around the kitchen and pantry areas to rid the kitchen and pantry areas of any pests residing in the drains. This service will need to be performed after the kitchen closes as not to interfere with operations. The kitchen closes at 8:00 p.m. The Contractor shall work with the Director of Buildings and Grounds to schedule services, within allowable times for specific areas, to insure services are performed at a time of day which will least interfere with normal operations. All work shall be done within normal business hours, defined as Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
