Although the final terms and tasks will be subject to negotiation, and the scope of work may vary with each project, typical tasks may include: research and field investigation; preparing traffic analysis; providing development plan review; preparing stormwater analysis; preparing feasibility reports; preparing grant applications; surveying; design; hydraulic modeling; downstream flow analysis; cost estimate(s); preparation of bid documentation; plans and specifications; conducting public presentations; regulatory approvals and permits; development of Quality Assurance plans (QAP); easement sketches; perform environmental site assessments, and prepare plats for right of way and easement dedication; preparation of addenda; evaluation of bids; coordination of necessary change orders; review of invoices; periodic site inspection (City shall generally provide daily inspection); quality assurance testing as described in the VDOT Local Assistance Program (LAP) manual; and the preparation and submission to the City of record drawings in both PDF and AutoCAD format.
