The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to solicit bids from qualified bidders to establish a term contract to provide upfitting services (installation of emergency equipment) on an “as needed’ basis on 2023- 2024 Ford F-350 field trucks (or like new or used vehicles to include Ram Chevy or GMC pickups and or SUV's). The new trucks and necessary equipment will be supplied by the Virginia Department of Forestry (DOF), and awarded contractors must adhere to industry standard best practices and provide consistent, professional installation techniques. All installation and routing techniques will be initially shown and instructed by the Virginia Department of Forestry radio shop or fleet management and on-going quality control and evaluation will be performed with each vehicle.
