1. "Preventive Maintenance (PM)" shall mean all adjustments and servicing required to maintain all equipment as listed in Section IV. A1. Contractor shall perform, on a monthly basis, at a minimum the preventative maintenance for each type of equipment listed. Contractor shall prepare a PM inspection checklist for use as a guide in performing preventative maintenance servicing. The proposed checklist will be reviewed and approved by VDOT before use. Contractor shall provide, as part of the total maintenance package, all parts, supplies and tools necessary to perform preventative maintenance in accordance with the manufacturer(s) specifications. This includes but is not limited to: belts, lubricants, hydraulic fluids, cleaning fluids, wiping cloths, test equipment, and miscellaneous tools. a. Upon completion of each preventive maintenance inspection/service, the Contractor shall complete an examination of all equipment as listed, and shall submit to VDOT a written report on the inspection checklist upon completion to the VDOT Contract Administrator indicating the following information: • A general statement of the condition of the equipment. • Specific recommendations for any repairs or modifications that will enhance the operation of the equipment. • Estimate of cost on a time and material basis to accomplish the work recommended above, if requested by VDOT.
