Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Provide three instructors for various classes as requested by Riverside Regional Jail to include but not limited to, General Education development. 2. Provide academic instruction to inmate to earn a high school diploma or equivalent. 3. Maintain participation records for the Contractor and Riverside Regional Jail. 4. Conduct assessment of learners as necessary. 5. Develop learning plan with each student based on student interest and goals. Review and update learning plans with each with prescribed hours by state, local, and federal regulations. 6. Administer testing for placement, diagnostic, progress and follow-up to each student. 7. Coordinate, with the assistance of the Programs Manager, all educational services to the inmates of the RRJA. The educational service provider will submit, on a monthly basis, to the Programs Manager the number of inmates qualified to test. The examiner will coordinate with the Program Manager to schedule GED testing once a month if there are enough qualified inmates. 8. Utilize research based instructional materials that meet the instructional level and needs of the students. 9. Educational service provider will provide a minimum of 24 hours per instructor of educational instruction, at least three days a week to include evening hours. 10. The class times and number of instructional hours shall be agreed upon by both parties prior to the first date of instruction and reviewed on an annual basis. 11. Instructors fees will be charged at an hourly rate per instructor with one- half hour of prep time included for each two hours of instructional time. 12. The educational service provider will submit a list of supplies, books, materials, and equipment necessary for each class to the Program Manager. 13. Facilitate classroom management and record keeping. 14. Maintains professional development as required by state, local, and federal guidelines. 15. Provide statistical information and /or report regarding educational services, including monthly reports and quarterly accreditation reports to consist of the number of hours of educational services provided to each inmate daily. 16. Participate in required training according RRJA and accreditation standards. 17. Proposers should employee staff with the necessary certification, experience, organization, skills, and facilities to qualify as an Adult Education Instructor as defined by the Virginia Department of Education.
