The awarded contractor shall provide all necessary supervision, equipment, labor, and materials to complete the Education Connection Trail as outlined herein. The provided trail map shall serve as a general guide; however, lateral adjustments may be required based on site conditions. Crosswalks identified shall not be completed by contractor. Refer to Trail Layout, Trail Details, and Bollard Detail for detailed requirements. The contractor must comply with the most current United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) species protection regulations. The County requires prior approval for the removal of any trees with a diameter greater than 4 inches. Contactor shall include following sized trees to be removed in their base bid: • 6 trees 4"- 8.9" • 4 trees 9"-12.9" • 4 trees 13"- 6.9" • 2 trees 17"- 20.9" • 1 tree 21" or greater The trail is estimated to be approximately 5,185 linear feet in length, based on GIS measurements. It is anticipated that 15% of the trail will require #3 stone, and 10% will require #1 gabion riprap. All trail construction shall adhere to industry standards and reflect conditions observed during site assessments. At each location identified in the Trail Layout, Trail Details, and Bollard Detail, contractor shall install a bollard on each side of the trail as per the specifications.
