The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals to provide Elementary Social Studies curricular resources and supporting materials that are aligned with the VDOE 2023 Standards of Learning for History and Social Sciences SOLs, the VDOE 2024 Standards of Learning for English, and the ACPS Deeper Learning Framework. Curricular resources for grades K-5 should support deeper learning in social studies through an emphasis on inquiry, literacy integration, and knowledge building across social studies disciplines (history, geography, civics, and economics). Materials should be engaging, culturally sustaining for our diverse student population, and inclusive of social-emotional learning. Ideally, curricular resources should also support the development of the ACPS Profile of a Learner attributes: Communicator, Collaborator, Critical Thinker, Changemaker, Innovator, and Advocate.
