Arlington Public Schools intends to interconnect multiple APS sites with Connect Arlington and the Equinix data center complex at Filigree Ct, or 21551 Beaumeade Circle, Ashburn, VA. The Equinix data center complex on Filigree Ct. encompasses Equinix Data Centers #1, 2,4,5,6, 10, & 11. APS does not intend to apply for E-Rate for this service. The two (2) APS sites to be connected will be: 1701 N. Stafford Street, Arlington, VA 22201 (a.k.a. "Washington-Liberty High School”), and 2770 S. Taylor St. Arlington VA 22206 (a.k.a. “The NOC”) The physical routes between each of these two APS sites to Equinix must be mutually exclusive of each other (i.e. must incorporate diverse routing paths) in order to increase the resiliency and reliability of the connection to Equinix. x APS requires dedicated, or "dark" fiber for these interconnects because APS intends to utilize Wave Division Multiplexing (WDM) in order to maximize the utility of the fiber-optic connection. The provided fiber-optic connections must be capable of simultaneously supporting at least 26 ITU-T G.694.1 channels. x The termination of the provided fiber-optic connections will be within the two APS data centers (at one end) and within the provided co-location space within Equinix (at the other). The contractor will be the contractor responsible for provisioning and maintaining all necessary Equinix interconnects required to extend the fiber-optic connections to the required termination points. x APS may specify additional or alternate termination points at some point in the future. Provide: x Monthly recurring cost for right of use, for each site connection: 1701 N. Stafford Street, Arlington, VA 22201 ÆEquinix 2770 S.
