A. SCOPE OF WORK: The Contractor shall furnish and deliver Reinforcement Steel in accordance with: 1) Construction: Virginia Department of Transportation and Bridge Specifications, 2020 2) Design: AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, 8th Edition, 2017; and VDOT Modifications. 3) Standards: Virginia Department of Transportation Road and Bridge Standards, 2016; Including all revisions 4) Attached plans for Project 0699-053-231, Reinforcing Steel Schedule as shown on Sheets 7 (Attachment C) B. SPECIFICATIONS: 1) All reinforcing steel, including welded wire fabric, shall be Corrosion Resistant Reinforcing (CRR) Class I which shall conform to Section 223 of the Specifications. All reinforcing bar dimensions on the detailed drawings are to centers of bars except where otherwise noted and are subject to fabrication and construction tolerances. 2) The Class(es) of CRR and steel(s) required on this project is/are noted on plan sheets and in the reinforcing steel schedule. Class III may be substituted for Class I.
