SCOPE OF WORK: The Scope of Work (SOW) outlines the dry ice blasting services to be provided by the contractor for VDOT Lynchburg District Facilities. The project involves the cleaning of the Administration and Laboratory building #1 and building #2 located at the Lynchburg District Offices. The Contractor shall remove soot, moss, mildew, mold, and effervescence from the building facade. The Contractor shall ensure Association for Higher Educational Facilities Management (APPA) Level 2 ordinary surfaces are clean with no build up. The Contractor shall restore surfaces without causing damage, reduce cleaning time, and minimize waste disposal. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, and any incidentals necessary to perform dry ice blasting services on the structures stated above. Primary Objective: To perform dry ice blasting to effectively clean precast and brick surfaces without using harsh chemicals, water, or abrasive media. Secondary Objectives: Achieve a specified level of cleanliness, Level 2 ordinary surfaces are clean with no build up, in order to enhance the overall appearance of the facility. Adhere to all OSHA and ANSI safety regulations during the process.
