The North Dumbarton Street Culvert and Watermain Replacements project will replace the two existing double barrel Corrugated Metal Pipe Culverts conveying Little Pimmit Run under North Dumbarton Street with precast concrete arch culverts (bridges). This solicitation is for the culvert located 215 ft North of the 38th St North Intersection – also known as the Downstream Culvert. Project improvements include culvert replacement, storm sewer improvements, water line relocation, steel encasement of watermain and sanitary sewer line, pavement and driveway replacements, and landscaping. The proposed watermain replacement will connect the existing 6-inch watermain at 38th Street North to the existing 5-inch watermain at Fairfax County Line located about 750 feet North from 38th Street N and N Dumbarton Street Intersection. This project involves installation of approximately 980 feet of new 8-inch ductile iron pipe. Work also includes installation of approximately 60 feet of new 6-inch ductile iron pipe at 38th Street N.
