The Consultant may be required to provide various services from time to time including, but not limited to the following: • Drilling under streets and main thoroughfares • Drilling parallel to roads and along urban landscapes • Drilling into existing utility vaults, and crossing existing utilities • Drilling under Railroads; Duties and responsibilities shall include: • Attending preconstruction meetings as deemed necessary by the City • Investigating and recording preconstruction site conditions • Obtaining permits for work as required by the City of Danville • The consultant must be able to directly and effectively communicate with City Utilities Employees. City Employee supervision to visually spot each existing utility crossing shall be mandatory for each bore that crosses any existing underground utilities (Water, Gas & Sewer). • Required depths of bores will vary, with the standard being 3 Ft from the top of the proposed conduit installation. Obstacles, circumstances and existing utilities can greatly affect the desired depth. • The consultant must be able to perform required tasks in a reasonable timeframe, while maintaining safety & housekeeping practices as work progresses. Consultant will be responsible for trash, dirt, mud and slurry being disposed of from the work site. The City of Danville Utilities Department – Division of Power and Light requires the consultant to be capable of directionally drilling bores capable of receiving the following conduit arrangements including, but not limited to: • 1x 2” Conduit • 2x 2” Conduits • 1x 4” Conduit • 2x 4” Conduits • 4x 4” Conduits • 1x6" Conduit • 2x6” Conduits
