1. The County has received a judgment from the Clarke County Circuit Court. The judgment states that the owner of the property (140 White Post Road, White Post, VA) has until June 20, 2025, to demolished the garage or the portion of the garage that violates the setback requirement in the County’s Zoning Ordinance. If the owner fails to comply with the order, the County is authorized (directly or through a vendor/contractor) to demolish the garage constructed at 140 White Post Road, White Post, VA 22663. A copy of the judgment will be labeled as Appendix A and will be available for downloading as a separate document on eVA and the County website. 2. Vendor shall provide the equipment, labor, materials, and services necessary to demolish and remove a garage located at 140 White Post Road, White Post, VA 22663. The square footage of the garage is approximately 1644 square feet; however, vendors will be responsible for their own measurements. 3. The garage was constructed in 2020 and should not contain asbestos or lead paint. 4. The entire garage and all debris from and within the structure (including fixtures) are to be removed. The structure’s walls are to be removed to the footings. Vendor will not be responsible for removing footers or the concrete floor in the garage. 5. The County will grant all salvage rights of the building structure and fixtures to the selected vendor to help offset the cost of the demolition. Interested vendors will provide a value for the salvage on the bid form on page 19.
