Specifications include, but are not limited to: a) Introductory presentation for students and parents (may include PowerPoint presentation and videos) • Provides overview and instruction for the skills exercises and gives students an overview of the risks they face in a motor vehicle and how to reduce those risks. b) Advanced Driving Exercises for teens • Car Control/Skid Recovery • Panic Stop • Drop Wheel/Off Road Recovery • Distracted Driving Awareness Exercise • Crash Avoidance/Slalom c) Classroom sessions for parents (may include PowerPoint presentation and videos) • Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) Laws • Teen statistical data for Virginia and problems associated with teen drivers • Parental responsibility during the learning to drive phase for young drivers • Importance of setting driving rules and consequences, monitoring driving behavior, practicing driving skills with teens, and signing a parent-teen driving contract. d) Educational Materials • Educational printed materials on teen driver safety for teens and parents may be made available but are not required. e) Pre and Post Survey • Vendor will have students complete a pre and post survey to measure effectiveness of the training in improving students’ knowledge, attitudes, and skills. • Vendor will have students and parents complete an overall survey measuring their satisfaction with the training
