Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, equipment, fuel, and any other incidentals necessary to meet the requirements of the performance specifications stated within. The crew shall consist of a 4 wheel drive SUV or Pickup Truck and three (3) crew members with chainsaws (16”-20”), at least one cell phone capable of service within the Salem District and the ability to locate GPS coordinates issued to the crew by VDOT. The contractor shall have the resources to furnish up to three (3) crews for the Martinsville Residency. The work shall consist of cutting and clearing of vegetative debris generated by snow storms, ice storms, tornadoes, floods, preventative maintenance, or any other event as designated by VDOT. Work will be performed within the Salem District along highway rights-of-way of primary, secondary and interstate routes also including VDOT facilities and/or VDOT leased property’s within the counties of Henry, Patrick and Carroll Counties on an hourly basis for enhancing safety for the public.
