I. PURPOSE: This scope of work outlines the required tasks for the upgrade of a 4 ton heat pump split system. The project will include replacement, removal and disposal of current 4 ton condenser, air handler, line set, and any related ductwork not utilized as transitional to accommodate the new air handler at DMV Customer Service Center, DMV Customer Service Center, 300 North Virginia Street, Farmville, VA 23901. II. SCOPE OF WORK/DESCRIPTION OF ITEM: The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, and supervision necessary to remove existing HVAC systems and provide, install and render operational new systems which meet or exceed the specifications listed herein. All materials and installation work shall comply with these specifications, and conform to the Virginia OSHA Standard, and the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Codes. Work is to be completed MondayFriday and coordinated with the DMV Representative. An inspection of the job site is REQUIRED prior to bidding in this program. All bidders will have the opportunity to complete this site inspection at the mandatory pre-bid conference.
