Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall provide wood that is kiln dried or heat treated per USDA guidelines as the preferred method(s) of treatment. Reference USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service U.S. Department of Agriculture Treatment Manual, T314-a Heat Schedules. The Contractor shall ensure that bundles consist of a minimum of 7 sticks cut (fireplace size) at minimum .75 cubic feet per package. The Contractor shall provide at time of bid a picture of finished product as bid. Firewood Delivery and Offloading Requirements: The Contractor shall guarantee a confirmation response to a delivery request within 24 hours of request. The Contractor shall guarantee delivery within Five (5) Calendar Days of initial request. The Contractor shall coordinate with Park Staff the expected delivery date and time and Park staff shall unload firewood. The Contractor shall supply Firewood Bundles in a palletized format for ease of unloading to delivery location that is accessible by tractor trailer. The Contractor understands there is no storage area available on park for more than estimated minimum weekly delivery of less than 10 pallets with pallets not to exceed 60 units per pallet or park approved quantities and pallet size per delivery. The Contractor understands there is no parking area for a tractor trailer for storage of additional quantities as specified herein as minimum deliveries but agrees to delivery as needed quantities. The Contractor shall agree to as needed quantities and on an as needed quantity and delivery schedule. Note: Current estimated deliveries are once per week averaging 420 bundles from Memorial Day through Labor Day decreasing in October and November to 420 bundles every other week (1520 total in 22 weeks) then to approximately 360 bundles as needed through March (360 per delivery for 34 weeks), depending on sales.
