1. The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, supervision, transportation, equipment, supplies, and material necessary to Power Wash, Preparation, Stain or Paint as needed for each building identified. 2. The Contractor shall provide an adequate number of reliable and properly trained personnel to provide the services required. 3. Work Hours: All services shall be performed, unless mutually agreed upon by the Contractor and the Park Representative during normal business hours, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. TO 6:30 P.M., Monday through Friday, except for State & Federal Holidays. 4. Contractor Crews will not be allowed to stay in the Lodges or cabins while completing the work. However, reservations can be made independently by the contractor through the Virginia State Park reservation system. C. Preparing worksite, protection, and cleanup specifications: 1. The Contractor shall be responsible for preparing all work areas to include cleaning, filling holes, caulking, taping, tarping. 2. The Contractor shall provide supplies and materials and be responsible for protecting of surrounding areas to prevent debris, spills, splatters and/or damage to surrounding surfaces, including those areas not being painted or stained. 3. The Contractor shall clean up and remove empty cans, rags, rubbish, and other discarded materials from worksite at the end of each workday. 4. The Contractor shall clean glass, and paint or stain spattered surfaces immediately. 5. The Contractor shall remove spattered stain and paint by washing and/or scraping as necessary taking extra care not to scratch or damage adjacent finished surfaces. 6. The Contractor shall conduct cleaning with a brush and or vacuum on all wood surfaces where specified as interior surfaces within, due to electrical wiring on interior areas. 7. The Contractor shall protect work of other trades and correct damages by cleaning, repairing, or replacing as acceptable to park representatives. 8. The Contractor shall provide “wet paint” signs to protect newly stained and painted surfaces and remove protective wrappings after completion of staining or painting operations. D. Pressure washing scope/specifications: 1. The Contractor shall pressure wash and clean facilities completely. Including foundations, decks, stairs, and all exterior surfaces. Excluding rooftops. 2. The Contractor shall allow 48 hours drying time prior to application of surface paints, stains as applicable. E. Staining Scope with Specifications: 1. The Contractor shall provide Farrell-Calhoun Acrylic Exterior Latex Cedar color stain color to be verified at the time of award or a park approved equivalent matching color to the existing stain color for exterior wood surfaces and approved color by park representative prior to application. 2. The Contractor shall provide stain sample at time of bid or upon request any equivalent brand being specified and approval by park designee prior to application. 3. The Contractor shall stain all wooden surfaces on all facilities identified. 4. The Contractor shall allow 48 hours drying time after pressure washing before application of stain. 5. The Contractor shall NOT stain over dirt, rust, scale, grease, moisture, scuffed surfaces, or conditions detrimental to formation of durable paint seal. 6. The Contractor shall apply two coats of stain to all wood surfaces except where specified for interior surfaces within. 7. The Contractor shall apply one coat of stain to walls, ceilings, and beams on interior of building per manufacturer’s instructions. 8. The Contractor shall prepare and stain in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications. No thinning of stains unless expressly required by manufacturer.
