The Contractor(s) shall furnish and deliver cut and toss services on an ‘as-needed’ basis for the VDOT Appomattox Residency, per the specifications of this solicitation. Contractor(s) bid pricing shall include all equipment, fuel, personnel, operating costs, mobilization and incidentals. No additional charges will be allowed. • The work shall consist of clearing vegetative debris that is impeding or blocking the travel lanes of the roadway. • VDOT may contract with additional cut and toss crews and use state forces to supplement the cut and toss crews provided on this contract. • It is expected that the roadway and associated turn lanes, ramps, shoulders and intersections shall be kept passable and safe for drivers during the entire event. Any fallen tree or woody debris shall be cut and/or tossed at least twelve (12) inches beyond the edge of the roadway. • All work shall be performed following the direction given by the VDOT Contract Administrator, or designee, and in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
