Specifications include, but are not limited to: The intent and purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to receive proposals for the design services for the King William County Government Complex Expansion project. King William County would like to expand the County Government Complex to connect existing buildings with a multi-use complex consisting of approximately 3-5 future building sites, connecting paths, roads, parking and landscape features. Site is approximately 40 acres, please see attached sketch. The Project is to design a new village style development between and/or around King William Administration Center, Historic Courthouse, and the current County Government Complex. The Project shall include, but not be limited to the following: 1. Site design for multiple architecturally appropriate buildings, establishing a connection between existing government complexes. Approximately 3-5 building sites are anticipated. 2. Establishing arch design standards for such buildings- general interior and exterior physical attributes. 3. Potential future uses include a new maintenance facility, health services facility, social services facility, court services facility, and commercial/professional services space. 4. Views of the historic courthouse are to be protected or enhanced. 5. Multiple green spaces throughout the Village Complex to hold public events. 6. Trails, walkways, roadways, and parking connecting facilities. 7. Project cost estimates.
