The County of Carroll, Virginia (the “County”) owns and operates a solid waste collection and recycling collection facility commonly referred to as the Cana Convenience Waste Center (the “Facility”). The County is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to operate the Facility and provide solid waste collection and recycling services to the public, in addition to hauling the collected waste to the Carroll-Grayson-Galax Regional Solid Waste County Landfill. Items to be addressed in the RFP include: Proposed fees to be charged to the public, on a per bag, per load or other volumetric basis for solid waste collection and recycling services, including pricing for tires and other large items, and proposed hours of operation of the Facility. Offerors shall provide satisfactory evidence of insurance, as well as evidence showing the offeror’s qualifications to provide the solid waste and recycling services. It is anticipated that the County will enter into a contract with the successful offeror for a term not to exceed 5 years.
