The project scope includes all necessary site development, utilities, and infrastructure improvements, as well as the construction of a modern, energy-efficient fire station meeting current codes and standards for fire-rescue operations. The new Whitehall Fire Station is expected to include, but is not limited to: Apparatus bays to accommodate multiple fire and EMS vehicles. Administrative offices and meeting/training rooms. Crew living quarters, including dormitory-style sleeping areas, kitchen, dayroom, and fitness area. Storage and support spaces for fire-rescue equipment and supplies. Site improvements including parking, driveways, stormwater management, landscaping, and utilities. All work shall be performed in accordance with the engineered drawings and specifications provided by HBA. The contractor shall coordinate with the County’s project manager, architect, and engineer to ensure full compliance with all design documents and applicable building codes. In addition, the contractor shall provide and maintain a time-lapse photography system throughout the duration of the project. The system shall capture high-resolution images at regular intervals sufficient to document all major stages of construction. The contractor shall provide monthly progress updates to Goochland County that include the most recent time-lapse imagery or short compiled segments showing construction progress to date. Upon project completion, all captured images and a final, fully edited time-lapse video shall be delivered to Goochland County in both digital and web-compatible formats. The selected contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, and coordination necessary to complete the project in accordance with the approved design documents and specifications.
