The brand name description “Comcast” is essential for the Government to meet mission requirements. The use of different Internet Service Providers services and equipment introduces risks that compromise communication, such as incompatible software and unavailable security patches.
Requirement is sole source, will be listed as other than full and open competition for the procurement of brand name specific Comcast as a Business High Speed Internet Service Provide (ISP) for support of Installation Support Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) services on the Defense Supply Center Richmond, Defense Logistics Agency (DSCR/DLA) property, in particular, Guest Housing Bachelor Officer Quarters. The solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis as a Request for Quote (RFQ) posted to the Contract Opportunities in the SAM.GOV website.
