The purpose of this RFP is to obtain citywide security guard services for various City of Norfolk (“City”) facilities. The City is seeking a qualified firm (the “Contractor”) with demonstrated experience in the provision of high-quality security services using armed and unarmed mobile/roving security officers, twenty-four (24) hours a day, three hundred and sixty-five (365) days a year. The security personnel to be provided by the Contractor will be responsible for securing premises and personnel by: patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment and access points; permitting entry; preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities; warning violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers; completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures, etc.
