• Provide all materials, labor, and equipment to completely reconstruct the baseball infields, changing the skinned area to Tahoma 31 bermuda sod while maintaining/re-establishing the percentage of slopes from the original design and construction. • For sodded area in the infield, removal of 4” infield mix and backfill with Luck Ecosystems 7-2-1 Rootzone Blend or approved equal (sod medium alternate will be considered). and sodded to grade with Tahoma 31 Bermudagrass Big Roll sod or approved equal. • Sod and layout fields according to the field templates 2- 5. Field #4 infield will not be sodded, it will be regraded and have arc and outer perimeters sodded. • Remove 4’ from existing infield arc, behind Homeplate and entire hips, import rootzone blend and grade to provide smooth transition. • For skinned area, remove a minimum of 2” and up to 4” of current infield mix and backfill with Luck Ecosystems FieldGem Choiceplus or approved equal infield mix while maintaining/reestablishing the percentage of slopes from the original design and construction. • Include 75 tons of Luck Ecosystems FieldGem Choiceplus infield mix or approved equal and 75 tons of rootzone blend in pricing. Include a per ton price for each ton over 75, delivered and installed. No dump trucks may be driven on the outfield or infield surfaces. All bulk materials should be dumped in the staging area and loaded onto turf / flotation tire carts to be brought onto the infield. • Compact no more than 2 inches of loose infield material at one time with roller or other acceptable means. • Broadcast and incorporate a minimum of two, and up to, six pallets of soil conditioner (provided by owner) into infield mix • Verify depth of infield mix is a minimum of 3 (three) inches. The use of automated, laser guided grading equipment is required for all grading on this project. Final laser grading will be by ABI Force or approved equal with laser guided box blade and drag mat. • Verify and set all base anchors, pitching rubber, (pitching mound), home plate, and foul poles (if needed) to the appropriate distances for said field, distances TBD. (Supplied by owner) • Verify and establish new arc distance in accordance with the furthest base distance. • On newly installed sod infield, re-established infield arc and wings the contractor shall provide and install approximately 9,000 sq. ft. of Tahoma Bermudagrass big roll sod, either 48” solid rolls or 42” split rolls are permitted. All netting must be removed from the sod and disposed of properly. Sod shall be installed with smooth, rubber track WMI sod installation machines. If the weather becomes a factor and causes delays, this project shall be completed in coordination and collaboration with the county. • Provide the county with as-built’s showing finished grade %, grade direction, base anchor distances, home plate distance from backstop, depth of infield mix, grade slope type i.e. .5% cone from center of skinned infield or 1% from outfield grass edge to backstop etc. • Return designated maintenance area to pre-project conditions • Provide an add alternate for Game Ready Tahoma 31 sod.
